Haiti Earthquake Relief
A magnitude 7.0 earthquake rocked the island country of Haiti on Tuesday, January 12. Buildings are destroyed, the search for survivors is intense and the streets of Haiti are filled with people in shock and searching for loved ones among the rubble. ELCA Disaster Response partners have survived the quake and are already working to serve the people of Haiti.
Your help is needed today to bring immediate relief and continued hope for our brothers and sisters in Haiti. About 3 million people, one-third of Haiti’s population, were affected by this earthquake.
One hundred percent of your gifts designated to Haiti will be used in this vital response effort.

Collecting for a Cause
We are collecting a variety of things to benefit our community & congregation. If you are interested in contrubuting to any of these causes please contact the church office for details.
- LCW collects money for food and for Christmas vouchers.
- LCW has a Penny Drive competition between the men and women of Bethesda
- Sunday School has a Penny Drive
- Youth collect ink cartridges for recycling.
- Youth pop can account at the recycling center in Cloquet.
- Evangelism baked goods, etc...
The Fishers of Men is participating in NewPage’s Magazine Collection Program as a fundraiser to allow us to “cast our nets” further and reach more people. NewPage will us $0.10/LB for glossy printed paper. The proceeds will be used to fund church projects and/or groups in need.
